UPS anticipates that the surge in freight demand from internet retailers will result in a twenty percent increase in business. A substantial portion of the plan is being organized by UPS Express Network Solutions (ENNS), the largest freight carrier in the world, through its subsidiary. The company intends to grow by adding more new freight distribution lines. Chief Operating Officer Richard Perera of UPS told Reuters that "it's going to be a combination of new routes and connecting new forwarding locations" in reference to the traffic that travels via the company's network.
